The man who served as inspiration for The badger, Colonel Casey, made me re-do the hand positioning on the first panel three times before it got the green light. Why? Because british marine salutes are different from american ones, the palms face out instead of downward. The position made it rather difficult for me to draw given Casey's very long claws which make up most of his fingers. still very fun to draw however, his claws seem to be convienently maleable at times though, mistake on my part I think but it works well regaurdles... Funny really that I could spend so much time on the first panel hand position... and then totally screw up the flintlocks in panels 2 and 3.... guns will never be my forte....

We get a look at how inanely strict Casey is and will continue, in later issues we discover that theres a running joke behind the dear colonel's back that his men, (and some of the naval officers who know him) start calling him "Head-Case"
